Company Announcement: US$140 Billion Worth of Surface Mining Equipment Identified

IntierraRMG and The Parker Bay Company have aligned to provide Parker Bay’s Mobile Mining Equipment Database of surface mining equipment. The database contains comprehensive equipment information including the location and details of more than 64,000 large pieces of mobile mining equipment in current operation at large surface mines worldwide. Updated monthly and delivered to the desktop of clients worldwide, these unique data sets offer comprehensive information on equipment valued at more than US$140 billion. This arrangement in surface mining equipment data enhances the relationship between two of the world’s leading mining industry database companies. Peter Rossdeutscher, IntierraRMG’s Managing Director, said; “Working together in surface equipment data is a natural extension of the partnership IntierraRMG and Parker Bay enjoy from co-developing the world’s leading database on underground mining equipment.”
The surface mining equipment database is both mine- and machine-specific; identifying mines that operate large haul trucks, electric mining shovels, hydraulic shovels/excavators, wheel loaders, draglines, crawler and wheel dozers, drills, and motor graders. It canvasses all known large-scale surface coal, metallic and non-metallic mineral mines throughout the world and attempts to include every mine that operates one or more of the machine types identified above. Peter Gilewicz, Parker Bay’s Managing Director stated: “We’ve worked with IntierraRMG for years. And knowing their expertise in mining industry data-gathering and research, we’re excited to be extending our working relationship.”
