Sasfin Commercial Solutions (Incentives) (Pty) Ltd – SCSI - a member of the listed Sasfin financial and banking group, has joined forces with management consultants, Xybanetx, to accelerate and expand the delivery of government incentive grants, mainly to businesses in the manufacturing sector. SCSI assists qualifying companies from across the country in accessing a range of cash incentives distributed by the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) and intended to stimulate investment in new businesses in the manufacturing, automotive and aquaculture sectors or to upgrade existing businesses in those areas. Xybanetx, a leading independent management consultancy, specialises in implementing strategically motivated high impact business solutions and seeks to be its clients’ preferred partner in strategy execution. The firm has developed and successfully implemented a number of incisive tools and methodologies to deliver accelerated returns on investment.

Madelein Parsons, managing director of SCSI, welcomed the partnership with Xybanetx. “Our two operations have skills, experience and client bases that are complementary in many respects. Cross-selling of our respective services will certainly be possible and will strengthen both businesses. We remain two different organisations with different product offerings, but both will ultimately help clients to achieve their goals. “All in all, we are confident that we will be able to increase the flow of cash incentives  from government to qualifying businesses for the benefit  of not only the businesses and their owners but also for the benefit of South African Industry in general” she said. Xybanetx CEO, Craig Lutwyche, commented that the partnership with SCSI would enable the consultancy to deliver additional value to its current and future manufacturing clients.  “At the same time, it will contribute to the successful working of the MCEP Programme. This is important to us in Xybanetx in the light of our belief that a sustainable and competitive manufacturing sector in South Africa is a key pillar to our country’s economic growth,” he added.

Sasfin Commercial Solutions (Incentives)
SCSI (formerly IQuad Investment Incentives, and before that Indevco Incentives) has offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban and East London. The organisation has been the industry leader in assisting with incentive consulting, preparing applications and following claims through to payment since 1988, and offers clients an unparalleled body of knowledge and experience. “We start the interaction by identifying the relevant incentive programmes applicable to your organisation,” explains Ms Parsons. “We then apply to government on the client’s behalf to gain the benefits, and when the application is approved, process the claims and facilitate final receipt of the incentive payment due. “There are a number of incentive grants and any of them may be appropriate to your company, depending on the circumstances. It is important to have an in-depth knowledge of how they differ for a successful application.”
