The Southern African Plastic Pipe Manufacturers Association (SAPPMA) hosted their fourth annual golf day recently at the Irene Country Club last week. 72 players took to the field on a warm and sunny Friday morning – happy to be out of the office and to spend a perfect summer’s day with friends and colleagues in the plastic pipe industry.“Our golf day grows in numbers, popularity and enthusiastic support each year”, says SAPPMA Chairman, Jan Venter.  “This year we had 18 teams consisting of SAPPMA members and their clients socializing and networking with each other.  These get-togethers have proven their worth in boosting industry morale and forming lasting partnerships”. The day ended with a prize-giving dinner during which prizes were awarded to the winning team of First Tech Piping.  The second and third place went to Emeraude and Water Africa respectively while Shaun Harmse of Sizabantu walked away with the prize for the Longest Drive.  “We would like to thank all the players and sponsors who supported this day and look forward to another day of fun when we host the 5th SAPPMA Golf Day next year”, Venter concludes.
