Visitors to Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition – AIMEX in Sydney in August will be able to see a wide range of new and innovative mining-related products and services – including those from at least 90 companies who will be exhibiting at the event for the first time ever. AIMEX 2013 – to be held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney from August 20-23 – will cover an area of more than 45,000 sq m and have more than 600 exhibitors in total. “Both first-time and returning visitors to AIMEX 2013 can be sure they will learn about products and services they have never seen at the exhibition before, with a very strong showing of first-time exhibitors at this year’s edition,” said Paul Baker, Exhibition Director with organiser Reed Mining Events. "We have more than 70 exhibitors exhibiting for the first time at AIMEX in their own right, with at least another 20 participating in the event through the various international pavilions,” he said.
“And these new exhibitors represent a wide cross-section of products and services designed specifically for the mining industry.” First-time AIMEX exhibitors include major capital equipment manufacturers from China, India and the former Soviet Union; engineering and fabrication specialists; underground mining products; bulk handling systems suppliers and installers; safety products; environmental products and systems; suppliers of mining tyres, ground engaging tools, and other consumables; and IT and mine management systems. “New products we will have on display include some of the world’s largest mining trucks making their Australian debut, underground coal and hard rock mining systems, and conveyor and bulk handling systems for both coal and metalliferous surface mining,” Baker said.
