Gold industry heavyweights will gather in Sydney later this month for the first major gold conference since the incoming Liberal government promised to lower exploration taxes and repeal the MRRT.

The Gold Investment Symposium will be held at The Big Top in Sydney’s Luna Park on the 16th and 17th of October.

Kerry Stevenson, Symposium CEO commented that “this year’s Gold Symposium provides the first analysis of the Australian gold market since the election. Undoubtedly, the gold landscape has provided challenges but also opportunities this year. New incentives for gold exploration and ongoing uncertainty in the global financial system provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for gold investors to hear the voice of the Australian gold industry”.

Founder of Sprott Global Resource Investments, Rick Rule, will be a keynote speaker for the event.

The Gold Investment Symposium is the only event in the southern hemisphere which brings together all aspects of the Australian gold industry. In addition to chief economists, there will be presentations from resources news source The Daily Reckoning, as well as ASX listed miners Northern Star Resources (ASX: NST) and Independence Group (ASX: IGO).
