Cindi Dayleen Liebenberg

Full Name: Cindi Dayleen Liebenberg

Position: Engineer L2 (Systems Engineer)

Date and Place of Birth: 4 January, Springs, Gauteng

Education: Diploma Information Technology, Advanced Diploma Information Resource Management, in progress- Bachelor of Science Honours in Computing.

Management style: Democratic management style.

Personal best achievement: Working my way up from the first position I could get, to a position where I love what I do.

Philosophy of life: You are the master of your destiny.

Message for other women in the South African business community: Love what you do and be patient. In this fast paced world, patience can be your best asset. If you work hard and do your part, you will eventually bear the fruits of your labour.

Sihle Mankazana

Full Name: Sihle Mankazana

Position: Hot Mill Production Team Manager

Date and Place of Birth: 22 November, Kagiso

Education: National Diploma in 2017 and B-Tech in 2018, and I am currently doing my masters in Operations Management focusing on inventory management and supply chain management.

Management style: I use two management styles: visionary management style and coaching management style. I use a visionary management style to motivate my team and keep them productive. It allows me to work with them as a team instead of bossing them around. Where they lack, I then apply the coaching style to uplift and equip them with necessary information, tools and resources for them to do their work effectively and productively.

Personal best achievement: A published research author while still an under-graduate student. I have managed to get more than 5 research papers published in my B-Tech year and still obtain my B-tech Cum Laude.

Philosophy of life: To leave a mark in everything I do. I believe in ensuring that my work speaks for me in everything I do.

Message for other women in the South African business community: Don’t let anyone tell you what you are capable of. Only YOU can limit yourself.

Lerato Nyatlo

Full Name: Lerato Nyatlo

Position: Engineer in training

Date and Place of Birth: 10 April, Mokopane

Education: BEng Mechanical Engineering

Management style: I am not sure if there is a specific term out there but I use the approach of “steady wins the race”. I break down all my projects into manageable sizes that are easier to keep track of and complete. I find that this strategy also works perfectly outside of work.

Personal best achievement: Completing my honours degree in record time and being accepted into Golden Key Society.

Philosophy of life: Distinguish between what is in your control and what is out of your control.

Message for other women in the South African business community: No one else will understand your drive or ambitions, work on them, and nurture them.

Theonilde de Klerk
