In the wake of South Africa’s energy crisis, CNG Holdings has distributed and supplied Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for industrial use, commercial applications and as an alternative fuel for vehicles in South Africa. Through the three divisions; Virtual Gas Network; NGV Gas and CNG Technology, CNG Holdings has been the saving grace for many businesses, helping them maximise on profits through improving access to affordable and reliable fuel energy.

Access to savings and supply

Natural Gas has actively been used globally as a fuel energy alternative since the late 1800s. Countries such as the USA, China, India and many more have built and developed integrated Natural Gas infrastructure, making the fuel energy accessible to many industries, including manufacturing.

Since 2014, CNG Holdings’ Virtual Gas Network mother station in Johannesburg has been filling custom-built tube trailers and distributing the gas to innovatively and conveniently serve various businesses in South Africa.

Through this operation, Natural Gas is now accessible, off-grid to those who wish to make use of the many benefits on offer, including savings, efficiency and continuous supply.

Transforming transport

NGV Gas has played a vital role in transforming how the transport and logistic industries operate in South Africa. With the high price of Petrol and Diesel, these industries have called for a stable, affordable alternative. NGV Gas has heeded the call by creating a holistic plan, supported by a world-class infrastructure for companies to access Natural Gas at below-average rates.

NGV Gas has assisted many fleets of vehicle, from minibus taxis, police vehicles, busses to delivery vans and bakkies.

“We understand business demands for a reliable, affordable greener alternative. We have designed our whole operation to cater to these demands. - Wayne Williams, Sales and Marketing Director, CNG Holdings

The discoveries of Natural Gas reserves in Africa and the development of Natural Gas networks are helping to transform the economy. In South Africa, CNG Holdings is at the forefront of this transformation. Natural Gas is in abundance and currently, South Africa ranks 56th in the global consumption of Natural Gas, CNG Holdings will continue to play a vital role in shaping the industry and helping businesses convert, save and maximise profit.
