Cfs Aero Establishes Or Tambo International Airport As Its Primary Base Of Operations
CFS Aero is pleased to announce the relocation of its primary base of operations from Lanseria International Airport to OR Tambo International Airport. Operating from the world-class facilities of Fireblade Aviation, the move includes the transfer of the company’s corporate offices and managed aircraft fleet, positioning CFS Aero for its next phase of growth while maintaining an active presence at Lanseria International Airport.
As part of this transition, OR Tambo International Airport will serve as CFS Aero’s new headquarters and principal operational hub, providing enhanced infrastructure, greater connectivity, and improved access to aviation support services. The company will, however, continue to operate from Lanseria International Airport, ensuring ongoing flexibility and convenience for customers who utilise the airport as part of their travel requirements. The decision reflects CFS Aero’s long-term commitment to investing in operational excellence and creating a scalable platform capable of supporting the growing demand for premium aviation services across South Africa and the broader African region.
“The establishment of OR Tambo International Airport as our primary base of operation represents an important milestone in the evolution of CFS Aero.” said Kerry Searle, Managing Director at CFS Aero. “The move provides access to world-class aviation infrastructure and the premium facilities of Fireblade Aviation, including on-site customs and immigration services, private passenger lounges, executive meeting rooms, and extensive hangar capacity that will support the continued growth of our managed aircraft fleet. These enhanced capabilities allow us to deliver an even more seamless and integrated experience for both our clients and flight operations. Importantly, this is not a departure from Lanseria. We will continue to operate from Lanseria International Airport, giving our clients the flexibility of accessing our services from both airports while benefitting from the enhanced capabilities that OR Tambo offers.”
By retaining operations at Lanseria International Airport alongside its new headquarters at OR Tambo, CFS Aero is uniquely positioned to provide greater accessibility and operational flexibility, allowing clients to choose the airport that best suits their travel requirements without compromising on service quality. This strategic expansion reinforces CFS Aviation Group's vision of building a resilient, future-focused aviation business that continues to deliver innovative, reliable, and customer-centric aviation solutions.
CFS Aero is one of South Africa’s leading aviation companies that provides integrated aviation solutions across aircraft management, charter operations, and specialised support services. Guided by a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service, the company delivers tailored aviation solutions to private, corporate, and commercial clients throughout Southern Africa and beyond.
