South African engineering firms are using certified refurbished information technology (IT) equipment to contain costs while using high-end IT equipment to support their professional work, says IT asset disposal company Xperien MD Alvin Peacock.

IT equipment distributors do not always stock high-end equipment and often require six weeks’ lead time to deliver orders. Therefore, certified refurbished systems meet the requirement for affordable high-end certified refurbished equipment.

Xperien has refined its ISO-certified refurbished process and offers a 12-month warranty on all refurbished equipment. Integrity tests are conducted on each critical component to ensure that the highest standards and functionality are adhered to, he notes.

“As an immediate high-end IT equipment solutions provider for engineering firms, we offer affordable and reliable high-end equipment, including workstations, laptops, servers and networking equipment at half the price.”

Engineering firms often require high-end IT systems to perform their operations, and there is a steady demand for such equipment.
