Project Description
The project has proven reserves of 20-million tonnes grading 1.7 g/t of gold.
A prefeasibility study has estimated a minimum ten-year gold operation, with average gold production of between 100 000 oz/y and 120 000 oz/y.
Production is estimated at between 190 000 oz/y and 210 000 oz/y in the first two years of production. The project has a mine life of seven years. Life-of-mine gold production is estimated at 1.1-million ounces.

The project has an estimated after-tax net present value, at a 10% discount rate, of $200-million.

Latest Developments
Current work on the project is focused on permitting and relocation activities, and the lifting of the injunction imposed on the project in 2013. The injunction cited irregularities in the environmental licence granted by the Maranhão State Environmental Agency, or Sema.
