PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Junior explorer Cazaly Resources has secured some A$222 500 in government funding to assist in drilling its Halls Creek and Webb projects, in Western Australia.

The ASX-listed Cazaly reported on Wednesday that the company had applied under the state government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme and was awarded grants of A$118 000 and A$104 500 for its Halls Creek and Webb projects, respectively.

Inaugural drilling over the Webb project was now slated for July.

The project encapsulated a large coincident gravity-magnetic anomaly within the Gibson Desert region, which lies within the Carrapateena and Olympic Dam range.

Cazaly pointed out that the company has conducted detailed modeling of the coincident magnetic-gravity anomaly and has planned an initial single deep reverse circulation/diamond core hole to test the target.

This would be drilled using the same rig conducting drilling for Corazon, once the rig had completed its work there.

All access and drilling permits have been granted.
