Candente Copper gets support from Fortescue and Lind Partners
Toronto-listed explorer Candente Copper has announced a C$1.1-million private placement with Australian iron-ore major Fortescue Metals and institutional fund manager Lind Partners to continue work on its Cañariaco project, in Peru.
The private placement comprises the sale of 8 800 000 common shares at C$0.125.
“We are very pleased to have both Fortescue and Lind supporting Candente Copper and the Cañariaco project to unlock value for shareholders. Upon completion of the private placement, we will be well financed to complete an updated preliminary economic assessment which will better define opportunities with potential to lower initial capital expenditures and operational costs, and enhance our environmental, social and governance practices as recently identified by Ausenco in their destop study,” commented CEO Joanne Freeze.
The financing would also be used to advance permitting for drilling and for community work.
