Project Description
A feasibility study has confirmed Cadia’s position as a world-class, long-life gold and copper producer.
Development of PC1-2 is expected to sustain Cadia mine production at about 35-million tonnes a year as production from the current operational PC1 and PC2 caves begins to decline from the 2024 financial year.
The feasibility study estimates an operation with a 16-year mine life from first production at an average of 17-million tonnes a year and average gold production of 231 000 oz/y and copper production of 42 000 t.
Total ore production is estimated at 280-million tonnes, producing 3.7-million ounces of gold and 670 000 t of copper.
