Aim-listed BlueRock Diamonds has recovered a 58.6 ct diamond from the Kareevlei diamond mine, in Kimberley, South Africa.

This follows shortly after the discovery of a 21.6 ct diamond from the same mine a week ago.

The company expects the latest find to generate significant sales value owing to it being classified as a “D” colour diamond, as well as with it having spotted black sulphide intrusions.

The diamond will be sold during BlueRock’s August tender.

Some of the company’s notable recoveries in the year to date include a 6.3 ct diamond in May; 8.4 ct, 10.7 ct and 9.8 ct diamonds in March; and a 14.8 ct diamond in January.
