PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Blackstone Minerals has raised an initial A$22.1-million after completing the first tranche of its A$55-million capital raise.

The company on Wednesday reported that it had issued more than 38.1-million shares, at a price of 58c each, under its existing placement capacity.

The second tranche of more than 56.6-million shares, to raise a further A$32.9-million, would be subject to shareholder approval at a meeting expected to be held on December 16.

In addition to the share placement, Blackstone will also be undertaking a share purchase plan to raise an additional A$5-million.

The capital raised will be used to fund work at Blackstone’s Ta Khoa nickel project, in Vietnam.
