PERTH (miningweekly.com) – The TSX has extended its listing review of Vietnam-focused gold miner Besra.

The company, which also has listings on the ASX and Frankfurt exchange, said that it expected the TSX to make a decision on the possible delisting of its shares by no later than July 14.

The Canadian bourse announced in May that it was reviewing the common shares of Besra with respect to meeting the continued listing requirements on the TSX, with Besra granted a 30-day period in which to regain compliance with pricing, liquidity and disclosure requirements.

Besra has faced significant challenges in Vietnam, including a disputed export tax assessment at its Phuoc Son plant, and suspended operations at its Bong Mieu mine owing to severe weather conditions.

However, earlier this month, the gold miner reopened its Bong Mieu mine, marking the return to operation.
