Company Announcement - Liming Lu from Australia’s CSIRO Mineral Resources Flagship will be the international guest speaker at the 3rd annual Iron Ore Beneficiation Africa conference. Mr Lu will be giving a technical presentation covering the evaluation of iron ore for iron production on the morning of day 2. The event is set to be held at the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel on the 16-17 March.

Geologists, process engineers, metallurgists, exploration managers, technology leaders and more within the iron ore and ferro metals industries will discuss the viability of commercially unleashing value in Africa’s iron ore, manganese and chrome.

The conference commences on Monday the 16th March with opening remarks from chairperson Dave Cousins, Industry Champion for Mining Beneficiation, Industrial Development Corporation. Further speakers include Tapiwa Samanga, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); Sadick Davids, Coega Development Corporation, Lara Smith, Core Consultants; Robert Futter, Cresco Project Financing; Somdeb Banerjee, Tata Steel Limited, Southern Africa; Ben James, Baobab Resources plc & Capitol Resources lda; Heloise Thiele, Mintek; John Wates, Fraser Alexander. Networking drinks conclude the day’s proceedings.

Day two will start with opening remarks from day 2 chair Lorenzo Emanuele Tencati, Director, Bryanston Resources followed by the aforementioned international guest presentation from Mr Lu. Further day 2 speakers on the 17th March will include; Peter Raymond, Hatch; Dave Cousins, Industrial Development Corporation; Ernest Faber, Paul Wurth (A division of the SMS Group); Algie Kiewitz, Eskom; Maximiliano Andrés Sánchez Monje, BRASS Chile S.A.
