Aeon declares maiden resource at Ben Hur
PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Junior Aeon Metals has reported a maiden resource at the John Hill copper/silver/molybdenum deposit, within its Ben Hur project, in Queensland.
The John Hill deposit is now estimated to contain an inferred resource of 190 000 t of copper, 2.7-million ounces of silver and 16.7-million pounds of molybdenum.
Along with the Whitewash and Gordons deposit, Aeon Metals now had a combined resource of some 475 000 t of copper, 14.8-million ounces of silver and 158-million pounds of molybdenum.
This resource was all within a 15 km radius, and it has turned Aeon’s contiguous tenement package into a multiple project copper province with the ability to develop a centralised processing plant to service the combined project base, the company said.
Aeon would move to advance metallurgy and process flowsheets on the projects, and would assess infrastructure requirements for the development of a large, low-cost copper project.
