South African original-equipment manufacturer (OEM) Bell Equipment has been granted distribution rights by machinery manufacturer Terex Finlay for its range of mobile crushing, screening and recycling equipment in South Africa.

This will expand Bell Equipment’s strategic alliances with OEMs worldwide and increase the company’s product range.

The distribution agreement was announced last month in Omagh, Northern Ireland. Terex Finlay sales and marketing director Nigel Irvine says that Southern Africa is a growing mobile crushing and screening region and the partnership with Bell Equipment provides Terex Finlay with a strong business partner, locations throughout the market place and focused customer support.

“This offers us a great partnership platform to further develop new Finlay equipment sales and also support the large existing population of machines across the region. We look forward to growing our position in the market and developing our partnership,” he says.

The Finlay tracked mobile crusher product line includes jaw, impactor and cone crushers. This range of crushers is versatile and flexible in the reduction and sizing of aggregates for construction materials and mining, as well as recycling construction waste.

The Finlay tracked mobile screener product line comprises three-way-split, heavy-duty forward-facing units, three-way- and four-way-split inclined units and four-way-split horizontal screening units. This comprehensive range of tracked mobile machines has been proved in applications that vary from heavy-duty scalping to high-precision screening.

Bell Equipment group executive Gary Bell says that Finlay products are recognised in the mining, aggregates and recycling sectors and Bell is establishing a dedicated team of industry and product specialists to provide sales and service to its screening and crushing customers.

“Our partnership is a natural progression for Bell, as we already distribute and support articulated dump trucks, excavators and wheel loaders, which are used extensively in the mining and quarry industries. We are also active in the coal mining industry, where several customers use mobile crushing and screening equipment.

“In addition, the new partnership ties in closely with our Bomag range of machines, which use aggregates supplied from these material-processing machines,” he says.
