Project Description
The Beisa project, located at Sibanye’s Beatrix gold mine, incorporates the mining of the uraniferous and auriferous Beisa reef.
The proposed project includes the addition of a uranium plant processing module to the existing gold plant.
A total of 120 000 t/m, comprising 40 000 t/m of Kalkoenkrans reef together with the leached uranium solids, will be processed through the existing Beatrix No 2 gold plant.
Milling of the ore will be done using the existing semiautogenous milling and thickener circuits.
