Companmy Announcement - Schauenburg Systems (Pty) Ltd, in keeping with their transformation strategy to ensure compliance, restructured its business as of 1 January 2015. With the establishment of the Schauenburg Education Trust it fulfils the Mining Charter requirement of a 25.1% black ownership. The Schauenburg Education Trust was also created to participate in the socioeconomic transformation of South Africa, by providing young black students with the opportunity to further their studies in the fields of Economics, Electronics and Engineering by means of educational bursaries.

Schauenburg Systems who is part of the Schauenburg International – Africa Group acknowledges Corporate Social Responsibility as an important component of its corporate citizenship and as such believes in the sustainable development of previously disadvantaged individuals and communities. It therefore focuses on projects and initiatives in the areas of education and training.

The Schauenburg Group in South Africa furthermore regards training of its own employees as a major obligation. It recently also joined the German Chamber’s C.A.T.S. (The Commercial Advancement Training Scheme) programme, which is based on an integrated learning system, where students integrate theoretical studies with practical experience in the work place. The Schauenburg International – Africa Group also has a number of interns from the University of Johannesburg and Denel Dynamics who are gaining vital workplace experience in our companies.
