JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – JSE- and TSX-listed Atlatsa Resources on Friday missed the deadline for publishing its interim financial results, as “significant doubt” remains over the platinum miner’s ability to continue as a going concern.

The group said there were several uncertainties surrounding its operations, its financial condition and the state of commodity markets, which had led to an indefinite delay in releasing its financial results for the six months to June 30, and there were no assurances that the issues would be resolved.

Atlatsa continued discussions with platinum major Anglo American Platinum over the future sustainability of the Bokoni mine, in Polokwane, as well as potential alternative financial support.

Meanwhile, the company said it was uncertain as to when the financial statements for the six months and related disclosures would be finalised.
