PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Artemis Resources has announced a maiden Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant resource for its Eastern Hills antimony/lead project, in Western Australia.

The company told shareholders that the combined indicated and inferred resource exceeded size expectations, now standing at some 1.3-million tonnes, grading 1.7% antimony and 2.5% lead.

It said 71% of the antimony resource was classified as indicated.

Artemis noted that the current resource estimate only included mineralisation from the Taipan zone, with drill testing of the recently identified high-grade Dugite zone expected in the 2014 field season.

A scoping study to assess the economic parameters around the deposit was also scheduled for early 2014.
