Amplats’ PlatAfrica statement jewellery showcased at Forbes 30/50 Summit
JSE-listed Anglo American Platinum (Amplats) has advised that its jewellery market initiative, PlatAfrica, is collaborating with African Fashion International (AFI) to showcase the best of local jewellery design at this year’s Forbes 30/50 Summit, which is under way in Abu Dhabi.
The summit presents an opportunity for PlatAfrica and AFI to showcase statement jewellery pieces, coupled with designer clothing by seven fashion designers from around the world from March 6 to 9.
The showcase involves a fashion show hosted by AFI, with models wearing platinum as a jewellery metal of choice.
The PlatAfrica jewellery pieces are available for sale at the AFI showroom at the Forces 30/50 summit.
The PlatAfrica statement pieces are chosen among competing creative jewellery designers, which happens every year in partnership with Platinum Guild International India.
