PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Sydney- and Frankfurt-listed Altona Mining, which owns a producing mine in Finland and a major copper development project in Queensland, is confident of meeting its full year production guidance after maintaining output during the three months to December.

Copper-in-concentrate production during the quarter reached 2 145 t, compared with the 2 677 t produced in the previous quarter, while gold production reached 2 363 oz, compared with the 2 934 oz produced in the quarter ended September.

Silver production for the quarter was down to 16 257 oz, compared with the 21 392 oz produced in the previous quarter, and zinc production was recorded at 561 t, compared with the 688 t in the previous period.

For the full year, Altona was expecting to deliver between 11 000 t and 12 000 t of copper-equivalent product. Copper production would reach between 8 000 t and 8 800 t, while gold in concentrate would reach between 8 400 oz and 9 200 oz.
