Tin concentrate producer Alphamin Resources reports that its operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo have not been impacted on by the recent closure of the Bunagana border post with Uganda.

The Bunagana border post, located 60 km northeast of North Kivu province’s capital Goma, has been closed following recent clashes between rebels and government forces in the area.

All Alphamin’s exports cross the Aru and Mahagi border posts with Uganda, which is about 1 000 km north of the Bunagana town, and do not transit through or close to Bunagana, it has assured shareholders.
