PERTH (miningweekly.com) – The Tomingley operation, in New South Wales, has delivered another increase in production for ASX-listed Alkane Resources during the quarter ended September, on the back of increasing ore grades.

During the three months under review, the Tomingley mine poured 22 362 oz of gold, up from the 16 348 oz produced in the previous quarter, while gold sales also increased to 23 734 oz during the quarter, compared with the 15 576 oz sold in the three months to June.

Alkane told shareholders on Tuesday that the gold poured during the September quarter was above budget, despite a two-day shutdown for the feed chute recline on the ball mill.

Revenue for the quarter was up to A$33.4-million, compared with the A$22.1-million reported in the previous quarter, while all-in sustaining costs reached A$867/oz, down from the A$1 283/oz reported in the quarter ended June.

Full-year production from Tomingley was expected to reach between 60 000 oz and 70 000 oz, Alkane said on Tuesday.
