acQuire Technology Solutions appoints Alison Atkins as managing director in 2016. The values-based software company develops Geoscientific Information Management products and services and operates under a sustainable business philosophy designed for long-term business resilience.

Following its Succession of Leadership strategy, acQuire Technology Solutions announces the appointment of Alison Atkins to the Managing Director role. Focused on continued renewal and long-term resilience of the company, these changes are part of the ‘Habit of Handover’ method, that has paved the way for a resiliency not often seen in software companies.

Outgoing Managing Director, David Stephen, made the announcement to acQuire employees this week as he assumes the Strategic Finance role for the overall Metech Holdings group.

“I have been in the role of Managing Director since 2014, however with both acQuire and ADAPT being subsidiaries of Metech Holdings, I believe my focus is best served as the Director of Finance for Metech,” says Stephen. “This would not be possible without concurrent transitioning and hand over of my leadership roles to our acQuire team.”

“It is with pleasure that I announce Alison Atkins, acQuire’s current Director of Operations, will transition into the role of Managing Director for acQuire.”

Atkins joined acQuire in 2000 as part of the commercial and technical implementation team. She worked in many implementation roles such as Geoscientific Data Analyst and Portfolio Manager for Rio Tinto. In 2008 she became the Regional Manager Implementation for Australasia and Global Manager of Implementation in 2009. In 2011 she joined the Board as Director of Implementation. In July 2014 Alison became the Director of Operations for acQuire.

“The acQuire Board and I are very excited about Alison stepping into the role of Managing Director and look forward to her leading acQuire,” says Stephen.

Stephen will remain as a mentor and advisor to Atkins as she transitions to the Managing Director role. In the short term, she maintains her role as Director of Operations to ensure the commercial operations of the business continue to run smoothly. This will ensure acQuire remains a resilient business.
