Accsys, a member of the Business Connexion Group and national supplier of people management software and hardware solutions within the HR, payroll and time & attendance space, has won two TT100 Awards – one for Excellence in the Management of People and another for Excellence in the Management of Systems.

Accsys executive management accepted the awards at a ceremony held on Thursday evening. The TT100 Business Awards Programme was launched in 1991 by the Da Vinci Institute, who continue to own the process and involves the joint participation of the government, industry partners such as Eskom, IDC, HP and the JSE. Major sponsors include the Sunday Times.

The Programme was established to identify and reward local companies that stand out for their excellence in the management of technology, people, systems, research and sustainability.   Professor Marcus talks of the “story behind the story” and about identifying role models who, in spite of trying times, have driven their organization to greater heights.”  Minister of Trade & Industry, Derek Hanekom gave a strongly motivational speech about innovation and technology.

The after dinner speaker, Dr Mae Jemison, the first African-American woman to be entered into the astronaut program, also inspired with her 100 year Starship Project and her mission to “ make the capability of human travel beyond our solarsystem a reality within the next 100 years.”

Awards are bestowed upon candidates following an intensive adjudication process that involves interviews and the collection of relevant data on companies.

In 2012 Accsys, a long-time affiliate and participant of the Programme, was a finalist in three categories, namely: Award for Excellence in the Management of People, Award for Excellence in the Management of Technology and Award for Excellence in the Management of Systems and was awarded the JSE Award for Sustainable Performance.

This year the Company excelled and took top honours for its two main focus areas, namely Systems and People.

Teryl Schroenn, CEO of Accsys, was delighted about the win and described it as a “wonderful achievement” for the Company, its staff and partners.

“We are very pleased… this is a strong endorsement of our service and value proposition to the market. With our purpose of providing solutions that enable people to manage people, and the Business Connexion Group’s mission of making the impossible possible through technology, we believe that the TT100 acknowledgement will have underpinned our position in South Africa and the continent. We look forward to adding further value to customers on their journey towards using technology to deliver the type of business intelligence and analytics that enables companies to grow” says Schroenn.
