Space is selling out fast in the exhibition hall as the number of high profile sponsors signing up for Windaba 2015 continues to grow, with Acciona the latest international organisation to sign up.

Alberto Ansorena, Country Manager, South Africa at ACCIONA Windpower comments: "We are delighted to participate for the fifth time at Windaba, the most relevant wind power exhibition and conference in the South African region. It brings business, policy, environmental and social professionals together to discuss and network about wind power in South Africa. Anyone wishing to understand or do business in wind power in this country has to come to Windaba, as all major players and stakeholders will be there. That's why becoming a Windaba sponsor this year will raise ACCIONA's profile of a firmly established and locally committed wind turbine manufacturer within the event and the market. We are looking forward to getting the 2015 edition started."

Siemens' CEO Dr Marcus Tacke is also enthusiastic about his company's presence at Windaba and the status of the market: "All in all, we are very enthusiastic about the future of wind power in South Africa. The dynamic, growing economy and talented workforce make this an ideal market for us. And wind power can help to address many of the energy challenges facing South Africans, including affordability and reliable supply. I see a bright future for wind power in South Africa".

High calibre speakers continue to confirm participation in the conference programme including world-renowned Dr Eddie O'Connor, CEO at global energy developer Mainstream Renewable Power who will share his thoughts on the international wind industry at one of the plenary sessions.

The conference programme also includes: Mike Roussow, former NERSA, Energy Intensive User Group (EIUG) and Eskom Thought Leader; Dr.Tobias Bischof-Niemz, Manager of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Energy Centre; Valerie Green, Head of Energy at National Business Initiative and Ian Morison, Head of SA Power Supply Security at Anglo American.

Windaba is hosted by South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA) in proud partnership with the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). The conference will take place from 4-5 November 2015 at the Cape Town International Conference Centre.

The theme of this year's conference is 'Powering the Winds of Change' which aims to reflect the industry's conviction that wind energy can fill South Africa's current energy gap with low cost, clean electricity which can be brought on grid within a relatively short time frame.

The flagship conference attracts wind industry professional from all over the world, with more than 500 delegates attending in 2014. Another line-up of impressive speakers and government representatives is expected again this year.

With just under 60 days to go conference delegate packages are almost fully subscribed. To book your participation contact Yolanda Adams: Yolanda@windaba.co.za.
