Kenmare Resources

Kenmare Resources is an Irish mining company specialising in the extraction and processing of titanium minerals and zircon. The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, and is listed on the London Stock Exchange and Euronext Dublin. Kenmare operates the Moma titanium minerals mine in Mozambique, one of the world's largest deposits of heavy mineral sands. The mine produces ilmenite, rutile and zircon, which are used in pigments, welding electrodes, ceramics and other industrial applications. Kenmare's operations involve dredging mineral-rich sands from coastal deposits, separating the heavy minerals and shipping concentrates to global markets. The company holds a significant position in the global titanium feedstock market, with production capacity exceeding one million tonnes of ilmenite concentrate a year. Kenmare employs several thousand people, predominantly in Mozambique, and has invested in infrastructure including power generation and port facilities to support its mining operations. The company was founded in 1972 and began production at Moma in 2007, following decades of exploration and development work in the region.
