Ezulwini

Ezulwini is a gold mining project located in the Witwatersrand Basin in Gauteng, South Africa. The project forms part of the broader West Wits mining area, a historically significant gold-producing region near Johannesburg. Ezulwini is operated by West Wits Mining, which has been working to develop and bring the asset into production as part of efforts to unlock remaining gold resources in the Witwatersrand Basin. The project is situated in an area with established mining infrastructure and a long history of gold extraction dating back more than a century. Development of Ezulwini has involved securing financing from institutions including the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa and Absa Bank, reflecting the capital intensity of bringing underground gold operations online. The mine is expected to contribute to local employment and economic activity in Gauteng's mining sector. Ezulwini is one of several projects in the West Wits portfolio aimed at revitalising gold production in the Witwatersrand Basin, which remains one of the world's most significant gold-bearing geological formations.
