Established in 1992, software development company Umbani Software specialises in custom database-driven applications and business intelligence solutions. The company initially specialised in writing bespoke software for clients, using a variety of technologies, but has developed into a dynamic software development company that supplies generic, as well as bespoke solutions, to several industries.

Umbani’s technical and sales division also provides general information technology support to clients that require an outsourced solution and offers the supply of retail software and hardware, as well as other peripherals and services.

Umbani’s product portfolio includes SHEQsys, a cloud-based safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) software management system that allows for inexpensive but effective SHEQ reporting.

It also offers Mtsys, a scheduled, preventive breakdown manage- ment and reporting software system that enables clients to effectively control their maintenance requirements.

Lastly, Umbani offers Helpdesk, an electronic request management system that gives companies the option to automate tailored responses to clients’ support requests.

Umbani’s office is located in Rynfield, Benoni, in Gauteng. The growing specialist in software development currently employs a staff complement of seven.
