Perth, Western Australia-based Transmin, a leader in providing innovative, engineered solutions and services for the mining, processing and bulk materials handling industries, has brought its 25 years of engineering experience to South Africa.

Transmin recently started operations in South Africa, which is the next stage of the company’s development having done the same in Brazil a few years ago. Although Transmin has supplied mining and processing equipment into the African market for over 20 years – primarily through engineering houses based in Australia – its new, direct presence in Johannesburg will enable the company to better service local markets.

The Transmin team of project managers, mechanical engineers and designers sets the standard in innovative mechanical equipment design and application. This is achieved through the design and manufacture of world-class products, using the latest modelling and finite element analysis techniques, aligned with quality after-sales service.

Transmin’s extensive product range covers most applications in mining and processing activities, with product specialists available to provide a professional service focusing on the selection of the correct product for a given application and boasting the ability to undertake special designs.

Specialists in turnkey materials handling projects from small to medium size, Transmin has completed a range of projects throughout the region. Recent African projects include large lime slaking facilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia. Other examples from Australia include some of the world’s largest rock-breaking booms in the world, low profile feeders for iron-ore and heavy mining applications, flocculant and reagent systems, belt conveyors, hoppers and bins for one of the largest manufacturers of bricks in the southern hemisphere.

Transmin’s focus on after-sales support, research and development and continual improvement, will ensure clients continue to receive products and services of world-class standard and exceptional quality. Transmin’s number-one priority is commitment to completing all jobs safely with no harm to the environment.
