PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Senex Energy has reported that production at both the Roma North and Atlas project is outperforming expectations.

The Roma North project’s production has exceeded 13.5 TJ/d, and is tracking towards the initial capacity of 16 TJ/d and 6 PJ/y.

Senex noted that 26 wells have already been drilled at Roma North in the current programme, with ten of these on line and producing, while the remainder will be brought on line in the coming weeks.

At Atlas, the first 23 wells are on line and producing above 6.5 TJ/d during the early ramp-up phase.

“Senex starts 2020 with most of its Surat basin gas development programme successfully delivered and gas production rates continuing to outperform. We are delighted with our operational and production performance to date, and we look forward to continuing to deliver the potential of our Surat basin assets,” said MD and CEO Ian Davies.
