The prospects for the greater industrial use of gold are increasing encouragingly, says the top brass of South Africa’s State-owned minerals research organisation Mintek.

Spatial Dimension CEO Bill Feast said at the recent Streamlining Mining Permit Approvals Africa conference that a well-implemented mining cadastre could make a difference in challenging environments since mining cadastre systems don’t operate in a vacuum, free from the political, regulatory and operational realities of a country.
