Gold, copper, cobalt and lithium developer Red Rock Resources’ subsidiary in Côte d'Ivoire has been issued a second licence in the country covering 380 km2 in an area south of Yamoussoukro.

The subsidiary, LacGold Resources, now holds 725 km2 of granted licences on prospective gold properties.

The company has three more applications in the process of approval in the north of the country totalling 1 122 km2.

Each application is located in a known regional shear zone where gold mines are operating, as well as artisanal miners.

Red Rock chairperson Andrew Bell says the company now has critical mass in its licence application areas in the gold province centred around Yamoussoukro. He confirms that the company has already received an expression of interest from a party wishing to discuss cooperation or a transaction on one of its licences.

Red Rock is focused on examining opportunities for an early move into production and, should opportunities arise for accelerating development or increasing scale of operations, a variety of funding operations are available for consideration.
