Recoveries at Alphamin’s Bisie mine improve to 65%

TSX-V- and JSE-listed Alphamin’s Bisie mine, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo produced 2 345 t of contained tin in the third quarter.

Overall recoveries at the mine, which is ramping up, improved to 65% during August and September, compared with design levels of about 72%.

Tin grades mined and processed increased to an average 5.6% grade, which is expected to taper off to between 4% and 5% during the fourth quarter.

The company expects to produce between 2 000 t and 2 200 t of contained tin in the fourth quarter.
