The Reserve Bank of Malawi is seeking bids from eligible bidders for the supply, installation and commissioning of a diesel-operated rotary power plant at its head office, in the capital city, Lilongwe.

The bank says interested bidders should register with the country’s National Construc-tion Industry Council to be eligible.

“Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures con-tained in the Public Procurement Law and Regulations of the Government of the Repub-lic of Malawi and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries,” states the central bank.

Further information may be obtained from the bank's head office before the September 27 deadline for bids submission.

Bid documents in English are obtainable on payment of a nonrefundable fee of 5 000 Malawi kwacha (about $15) or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to 1% of the bid price. Bid documents will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives at the bank’s head office on October 4.
