Ontario gold junior Harte Gold has restarted milling operations at the Sugar Zone mine, after a temporary suspension in the second quarter to safeguard its workforce from Covid-19.

“I am pleased to say that Harte Gold is back in production and emerging from the Covid-19 pandemic in a very strong position,” said president and CEO Sam Coetzer on Wednesday.

He stated that mining and milling operations during the restart had met or exceeded Harte Gold’s expectations.

The Sugar Zone mill was successfully restarted on August 5 and has run consistently at about 800 t/d throughput rate during the initial start-up period. A 6 800 t stockpile will feed the mill during startup.
