Former TMAC CEO joins Kirkland Lake, Vaz promoted to COO

Triple-listed Kirkland Lake Gold on Monday that it had promoted Natasha Vaz to the role of COO and that former TMAC Resources CEO Jason Neal would join the company.

Vaz was most recently senior VP technical services. In her new role, she would provide leadership and management oversight for the company's mine operations and technical support services.

Jennifer Wagner has been promoted to executive VP corporate affairs and sustainability. Wagner would be responsible for human resources, sustainability and legal. She has been with Kirkland Lake since 2015 prior to the acquisition of St Andrews Goldfields and the merger with Newmarket Gold in 2016.

Kirkland Lake also announced that Neal would be joining as executive VP. He would be responsible for corporate development, business improvement, capital projects and investor relations.

Neal recently served as president and CEO of TMAC, which was bought by gold miner Agnico Eagle.

Prior to his role at TMAC, he spent 21 years at BMO Capital Markets, including eight years as global co-head of the metals and mining group.
