Employee dies in accident at Harmony's Kusasalethu

JSE-listed Harmony Gold Mining Company has advised that one of its employees has died after being injured in an engineering maintenance-related accident that occurred at the miner’s Kusasalethu mine, in Carletonville.

A full investigation is under way to understand the circumstances of the accident, Harmony says.

CEO Peter Steenkamp states that the company is providing the necessary support to the deceased’s family.
