ELB Engineering Services (Pty) Ltd (ELB) is pleased to announce the forming of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) agreement with ELWATINI RAIL CONSULTANTS. This new venture will be called ELB-Elwatini Rail Solutions and will allow the railway expertise of Elwatini to be offered to the market on a larger scale, based on ELB’s engineering and project execution ability.

ELB-Elwatini Rail Solutions is a majority black owned company providing services in railway feasibility studies, railway planning, railway engineering design, construction supervision and management, civil design, traction power and OHTE design project management, and is soon looking to include railway signalling as part of its offerings.

Elwatini Rail Consultants have specialists with experience in rail engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, project management and construction management. Their skills cover track geometric design, permanent way, civil infrastructure, earthworks, overhead traction equipment design, rolling stock requirements analysis and railway planning. Elwatini’s key staff are skilled as operators and maintainers of rail systems and infrastructure, so any design expertise is backed by practical, hands-on knowledge.

By joining forces with ELB, it is now possible for Elwatini to take on much larger assignments and together with preferred partners, offer a complete value adding solution to both ELB and Elwatini clients. The services offered are not only particular to rolling stock rail, but will be marketed to any load carrying rail, including over-head cranes and bulk materials handling stockyard equipment.

ELB Engineering Services is an internationally recognised, know-how solutions provider to the mining, power, port, construction and industrial sectors. The addition of rail expertise completes the full offering ELB has from the run of mine tip through to ship loading, which we believe is an unique capability of know-how.
