The African Mining Projects in Progress report gives readers an understanding of the current state of Africa's mining-project environment, and provides an outline of the mining projects currently under way on the continent. The report tracks the progress of not only the major projects in Africa, also the minor projects beyond South Africa’s borders over the past 12 months in the coal, copper, diamonds, gold, iron-ore, nickel, platinum and uranium sectors. Some projects in smaller mining sectors, such as zinc and potash, are also covered.

The report draws on material published over the past 12 months and is a summary of other sources of information published in Engineering News and Mining Weekly, as well as information available in the public domain. The report does not purport to provide analysis of market trends.
