Having successfully exhibited its range of products at the inaugural Electra Mining Botswana exhibition in 2013, blower and compressor specialist Aerzen Airgas will be returning to this year’s event to highlight the importance of using original-equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts backed by after-sales support.

Aerzen Airgas marketing coordinator Andreas Stubel states that Electra Mining Botswana – taking place from September 1 to 3 at the Gaborone Fair Grounds – is the perfect stage to convey this important message.

“Electra Mining Botswana attracts over 2 000 visitors and hundreds of exhibitors. It provides companies with a platform to network directly with existing and potential customers from across Africa. “Our product range is well established in the local mining and milling industries, and our main theme this year is promoting the importance of OEM parts in effective productivity,” he says.

Aerzen Airgas prides itself on providing its customers with high-quality products that do not experience rapid and excessive wear-and-tear, thereby ensuring long- term cost savings and better return on investment.

“We will be exhibiting and displaying OEM-compliant spare parts, such as air filters, bearings and V-belts, with the aim of educating the market that authentic OEM parts ensure long-term cost savings by preventing avoidable malfunctions and consequent downtime.”

As part of its interactive display, Aerzen Airgas will be exhibiting its Delta Generation 5 positive displacement blower. Instead of merely punting the product, the Aerzen Airgas team will partially take the unit apart, in order to show the inner workings of the OEM parts.

Aerzen Airgas will also be promoting regular machine maintenance at the event.

Meanwhile, Stubel indicates that Botswana continues to be one of the most stable mining regions in Africa. “The sector continues to experience consistent growth as a result of labour stability and investment in infrastructure. As a result, there is potential for further growth in this market.”

Aerzen Airgas is the sub-Saharan Africa branch of Germany-based Aerzener Maschinenfabrik, a specialist in the design and manufacture of roots blowers, turbo blowers, screw compressors, rotary lobe compressors and gas meters.
