Last night, the annual National Business Awards announced their 2019 winners and global payments technology leader, Visa was honoured to accept the Business Enabler of the Year award. The National Business Awards recognise the success, innovation and ethics of South African companies and organisations across all industry sectors.
Aldo Laubscher, Visa Country Manager South Africa says, “We are proud to be the recipient of this year’s Business Enabler of the Year award, which acknowledges businesses that ensure their customers profitability through innovation, addressing problems and implementing changes and solutions that have a positive impact on a business. At Visa, it is our vision to be a positive contributor to the South African payments industry by offering innovative solutions that enable businesses to thrive.”
Research shows that small businesses that accept digital payments can increase revenue by as much as 40%. Visa has continued to partner with our financial institution clients and partners to introduce payment solutions in the market that enable safe and secure payment experiences.
“Visa’s commitment to enabling businesses to thrive is evident in our continual product innovations, which are informed by our close relationships and understanding of the businesses we serve. We focus on developing solutions that address common pain points of these enterprises, thus removing barriers to their growth. We would like to thank all our partners for putting their trust in Visa and we are honoured to be part of their success.”
