The personal respiratory protective devices of Ukrainian company DEZEGA will be used in order to ensure the safety of workers of Inner Doha Resewerage Implementation Strategy project. IDRIS will be the largest drainage system in the history of mankind. The project will start in November this year.

Ukrainian holding DEZEGA, a manufacturer of respiratory protection devices signed a contract with large international tunneling company Bouygues Construction on the supply of DEZEGA self-contained self-rescuers in order to ensure the safety of workers at the IDRIS project.

IDRIS, the $ 3 billion project, assumes a construction of over 45 kilometers of sewer tunnels, 70 kilometers of lateral sewers and a pumping station at the depth of 70 meters under the ground. This is the largest drainage project in the world. The Qatari capital, Doha, which will host the 2022 Soccer World Cup, has experienced sustained population growth that has necessitated the redesign and expansion of its sewage system.

DEZEGA shoulder belt worn self-contained self-rescuer of 60-minutes rated duration will be used at IDRIS project to protect underground workers from irrespirable atmospheres that pose an Immediate Danger to Life and Health (IDLH).  DEZEGA self-contained self-rescuer has European certificate, accepted in Qatar.

DEZEGA will also provide a number of training self-rescuers to teach the IDRIS underground workers to don the equipment quickly and in a proper way, and to prepare them to the peculiarities of breathing conditions. DEZEGA training equipment ensures that in case of actual emergency workers will perform smoothly at escape. "We were able to confirm the status of the manufacturer, who has the world's best quality-to-price ratio in its segment, and to win the tender for self-rescuers supplying, - told Yurii Spivak, Business Development Director, DEZEGA. – The Qatari market is a new one for us and in the future we are going to continue its development."

Participation in such a large-scale innovative project and access to the Qatari market will allow Ukrainian manufacturer to recommend itself not only in the Middle East, but also to strengthen its position of self-contained self-rescuers supplier on the global market of tunnels construction.
