Company Announcenment - It is increasingly apparent that the “Africa Rising” narrative largely speaks to consumer spending across the continent. Previously fragmented markets are being integrated and supply chains across Africa are re-shaping the consumer sector. Almost half of Africa’s citizens are now living in cities where the bulk of consumer spending takes place. The latest UN forecasts predict that Africa’s population will reach 2.7 billion by 2050. The performance of retailers, service providers and consumer industries will be determined by their ability to tap into and grow their businesses in Africa's emerging consumer market. What are the growth trends, challenges and most importantly the opportunities arising from the emerging African consumer economy?
