We are delighted to announce the launch of the Inaugural London Indaba on “investing in resources and mining in Africa”, taking place on 26 & 27 June 2023 at The InterContinental Park Lane London.

The 2023 London Indaba will focus on Africa’s critical minerals and metals and their importance for the future.

There is no doubt that Africa will play an extremely important role in supplying many of the minerals and metals needed for our future society. In particular, the imperatives of decarbonization, transition to a green economy and goal of net zero has sparked a substantial increase in interest from the international investment community.

Africa is home to many of the world's essential minerals and metals including PGMs, gold, copper, cobalt, nickel, lithium, graphite, rare earths, vanadium, manganese, to name but a few, and many African countries have these in abundance. Geopolitical concerns and increasingly limited supply are encouraging many countries to diversify their supply chains.

Over two days, The London Indaba will discuss many of these critical minerals and metals, their current and future supply and demand and interrogate the opportunities for Africa to provide a reliable, ethical and environmentally sustainable supply which will both meet global demand and satisfy what investors are looking for when investing in African exploration and mining projects:

Why is Africa important to the future of mining?
How are the world’s governments incentivizing future metals and minerals and what are the implications for Africa?
What is the outlook for future metals supply and demand?
What are the drivers behind the latest developments in battery chemistries?
Which commodities will be the winners and losers?
How will gold continue to be relevant in the future?

And much more...

Brought to you by the team behind the Joburg Indaba, the 2023 London Indaba will take its trademark bold, blunt yet constructive approach to tackling these issues and we promise you a lively and engaging Indaba, full of promise for the myriad of opportunities available to mining companies, investors, governments and all stakeholders involved in sourcing a supply of critical minerals and metals for the future.
