SAPICS is proud to announce  that Keabetswe “Kea” Mpane, SAPICS Director, has been nominated as a finalist  in the 2014 Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government awards. Focusing on the achievements of  South African businesswomen, the awards recognise the contribution of women in  a range of business and government sectors and some of South Africa's  best-known and most celebrated women have been involved in these awards over  the years.

The candidates are selected  through an anonymous nomination process, followed by in-depth profiling  exercise that enables the judging panel to compile a list of semi-finalists. A  further judging process whittles the list down to finalists that are asked a  set of questions in a filmed face-to-face interview with the Chairperson of the  awards. The footage of the interview, together with the nomination forms,  enables the judging panel to select a winner in each category.

The focus of Kea’s duties as  SAPICS Director includes providing guidance on logistics and supply chain  solutions to the industry, mostly focused on people development and standard  setting.  The involvement of supply chain  professionals of Kea’s calibre is one of the key components in guiding SAPICS  to remain the preferred industry partner, and SAPICS wishes Kea every success  for the awards presentation which is to  be held on the 30 July in Johannesburg.
